Alexander and the Dragon
Alexander Rybak likes “Taken” and “Fatso” and dreams of a blockbuster movie about Ole Bull with himself in the main role. Now he is of current movie interest as the Norwegian voice of Hikken in “How to Train Your Dragon – 2”. We fired off some questions about dragons and other stuff.
– Hi Alexander! What do you think of Hikken? Tell us a bit about the similarities and differences between you and him.
– We both enjoy overdoing facial expressions and both have cow eyes. But Hikken stutters a lot more because he is spontaneous. I think through every word I say. And that`s both an advantage and a disadvantage when you`re dubbing a movie, I often have to put on a different hat and step into the role a 100 %.

Sold out opening for Rybak`s family show
The two 10 year old girls, Malin Kvinge Aalen from Sogndal and Vilde Wendel Nyberg from Alfaz del Pi, participated in the dance during a furious stage show last night. They’ll remember this for a long time.
– We’ve been practicing the folk dance we performed for three weeks,- Vilde Wendel Nyberg proudly says to Spaniaavisen after the concert. Along with her friend Malin Kvinge Aalen, she’s a member of the dance group “Dans Favor” which focuses on Norwegian folk dance. Both children and adults are in the group, which has regular rehearsals at “Alfaz del Sol” in Alfaz del Pi. The girls closed the Rybak concert with acrobatics while wearing national costumes on stage. So it was probably helpful that they both taken gymnastics before.

Alexander Rybak presented three premieres in the center of Kiev!
Ahead of “Halloween” the winner of “Eurovision” and one of the most charming artists of CIS and Europe -Alexander Rybak invited all his friends into the “madhouse” in the city center of Kiev! It’s the club-restaurant “Tolstoy” that has became such a place for one day. At the door of the club the guests were welcomed by crazy men in straightjackets, and inside they have been waiting on a show by the experimenter, Alexander Rybak. The artist presented three premieres at once – the new single, the video, and the new Russian program!
The topics of the evening were preceded by the video shoot for Alexander Rybak’s song “Dostala” (“You’ve driven me up the wall”). In the plot of the video the singer flees to an insane asylum, away from his obsessive female fan, who annoys him by her calls and just pursues him everywhere! And then he manages to leave his maniacal fan in the madhouse, but he leaves it himself for a normal life. The video was filmed with inspiration from real events in the life of the artist! See Alexander in a straitjacket.
For nearly three years, Alexander Rybak has been pursued by a female fan. The result is Rybak’s new single, “Leave Me Alone” in which the 26-year-old poses in straitjacket in the video.
“I refuse to let a woman make me crazy, but I like to play with the idea of it. I will certainly not want to have fun on the expense of those who are sick. That’s important for me to say clearly. But there is a symbolism that one can get crazy of it. She has ruined a lot for me”,- Rybak told VG.

Alexander made a premiere of his new music project with School Orchestra and his old band this Wednesday, August 10, 2010 in Ålesund, Fjord Cadenza. It appeared a great mix of classic, jazz and pop music! Many thanks to our dear facebookie Sabine Fundel for making the recording of all songs! 🙂
