Students under the age of 14 playing a violin or cello, could take part in the seminar. It was Gomel City Symphony Orchestra who had taken the initiative to invite Alexander, and it was a unique experience for the young strings students to practice and perform on the same stage as the famous Eurovision winner, Alexander Rybak . 35 boys and girls from the music schools of Gomel region and even some from Kiev. – We have had a very inspiring weekend. It has been a fun and educating experience, with a fantastic final concert. Nobody has inspired so many young string players to continue playing the violin as Alexander Rybak. The weekend 12-14th of February Alexander had an orchestra seminar with more than 90 young musicians, mainly violinists, from the municipalities of Herøy, Ulsteinvik, Hareid, Sande, Ørsta, Volda, Stryn, Ålesund, Tresfjord og Valldal in addition to culture students from the Herøy Culture School. The orchestra seminar and concert at Fosnavåg Concert House was organised by the local orchestra Havella.
It was a great experience for the young students and thanks to Robert Skeide and Kristian Ødegaard Skeide we can provide you pictures and videos from the seminar and the concert. The intro on the videos has English subtitles 🙂
Alexander was the soloist in the opening concert of Østersjøfestivalen 2015 in Karlshamn, Sweden the 16.07.2015. The chamber orchestra concert of 30 young musicians was conducted by Mikaela Brorsson.
Alexander took part in half of the concert, and performed several of his song, among others these three beautiful classical pieces which is recorded by Ulli C 🙂
Alexander practiced with young talents for three days and then led the final concert with them, which took place at the culture school in Sandnes on March 8.

Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd of January Alexander took part as a soloist in the Norwegian National Youth Orchestra’s New Year concert in Elverum and Oslo. In addition to Alexander, Arve Tellefsen, Eivind Ringstad and the boys choir “Sølvguttene” took part. Bjarte Engeset was the conductor. For Atayurt Private School’s 20th annual art festival, they had invited Alexander for a two day orchestra seminar and a final concert on the 14th of November at Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Spor Salonu. There, in addition to presenting his individual pieces, he also performed with the school’s students, orchestra, choir and dancers. Alexander had a 3-day seminar with children’s marching bands from Ski, Drøbak/Frogn and Nordby, which finished with a smashing concert on November 3rd in Rådhusteater, Ski (Norway).

On September 29, 2013, Alexander Rybak and children from Lofoten and Vesterålen orchestra played a concert, which concluded the 3-day seminar that Alexander had provided to the young musicians. Both seminar and final concert were held at Øksneshallen (Myre, Vesterålen, North Norway). 450 people came to see the final concert on Sunday. A brave facebookie Sara Anja was among the audience and made the recordings for us! Thanks a lot, Sara!

Alexander had the premiere of his new music project with the Summer School Orchestra and his old band this Wednesday, August 10, 2010 in Skodje (outside Ålesund) at the music festival Fjord Cadenza. It appeared a great mix of classic, jazz and pop music! Many thanks to Sabine Fundel, Susanne Berlin and Tessa Lande for making the recording of the songs! 🙂
