They were also goddesses of knowledge, who remembered all things that had come to pass. Later the Mousai were assigned specific artistic spheres: Continue reading Memories from the discussion-thread “Fans own poems and lyrics” Part 1

The network has become one of the largest advertising channel for musicians. Rybak has nearly 300,000 fans on Facebook.

It is easy to be a megalomaniac, but I try to limit what I write there”, says Rybak. With nearly 300,000 fans on Facebook, he is the single Norwegian musician with the most followers on Facebook. Only three groups, The black metal bands Dimmu Borgir and Immortal, and the electronica duo Röyksopp, have more supporters among Norwegian music artists on the world’s largest online community.

Alexander Rybak is one of the Grand-Prix-circus´ biggest stars on Facebook.

That shows,  from a ranking, made by the official pages of Eurovision Song Contest.  The webpage has looked at, how popular, previous Grand Prix-participants are on Facebook and ranked them, from the highest number of Facebook-fans and down.  In the final list of 25 names, Alexander Rybak is the only norwegian feature. The 25-year-old, who set a crushing score-record, when he won the international final in Moscow in 2009, ends up on place number 13.

That means, that the «Fairytale»-artist, drops two places on the list from last years ranking.  Alexander Rybak has, at the moment,  276.424 fans on Facebook. Continue reading Rybak on the Facebook-top. Article in Sa.no, July 22nd, 2011

Happy birthday, “Fans own poems and lyrics” thread!

Calliope, the Muse of Poetry

On 15  July 2009 a new thread was created on Planet Rybak, a newborn then. It was the thread called “Fans own poems and lyrics”, made by Marianne Saietz. During the last year this thread has inspired many Facebookies to express their feelings by creating hundreds of excellent poems! It has also given birth to four SONG BOOKS released by the Facebookies so far, and counting! It has been the earliest sign of the world-famous Facebookies creativity!

On 15 July 2010 we are celebrating its birthday. You are all invited to leave a rhyme, a limerick, a poem, anything 🙂

Link to the thread (threads have been closed by FB, so the link doesn’t work anymore):

Sample poem, by Marianne:

SLEEP

And finally, the fans will sleep And no one will the facebook keep The latest topic now must wait The wild ideas can hesitate The cleaning-people sweeps the floor clean up the links and threads and more The lights go out and all is shade And even words stay up too late

Concert in Prague Feb. 25th 2010. Almost 1000 tickets are sold!

(rybakomic by Dr. Renia)

The concert in Prague was expected to be a small concert, since the Lucerna Music Bar have room for ca. 400 people. Our reliable Czech FaceBookies have just reported that all tickets were sold. The demand for concert tickets has been so huge, that the music bar has expanded the room, by opening the balconies and now, almost 1000 tickets are sold. This is very good news for Alexander Rybak and his crew. It is also good news for the Czech fans, ’cause it shows, without doubt, that Rybak has an audience in Czech Republic.

A big part of the credit for this sucess should go to the fans on Alexander Rybak’s Facebook Page, who worked hard together to promote this concert by contacting czech radio-stations, TV-stations and other media and persuade them to play Rybaks music and announce the concert! Especially one radio DJ should be mentioned: Monika on Radio Fajn North Music who was so kind to play ” Fairytale” and to announce the concert EVERY second evening for 2 weeks.(author Marianne)

(Translation: 1) Is Alex gonna be in Prague, for sure?! That is a real fairytale!
2)Really!! I have read about it at www.alexanderrybak.cz. It´s gonna take place on the 25th of February in Lucerna Music Bar in Prague. It´s told, that they already sold 1000 tickets.
3) If there were no Facebookies, nobody would know about him in Bohemia.”)
