Alexander Rybak’s exam was held in a small concert hall at Barratt Dues Music Institute and only a few people was lucky to get a ticket to this great moment. Luckily it was streamed live by the Norwegian news paper VG, and we can therefore provide you the whole concert. 🙂

(Dagbladet): 3 years ago, he got the all time high score at the International Final of Eurovision. Today, Alexander Rybak struggled determined, to get an A at his violin exam at Barratt Due Music Institute.
“I will get a little bit disappointed, if I don’t get a top grade but then, the top grades are really reserved for those who practice every single day. I don´t do that. I travel around Europe every other week, play pop concerts and flirt with girls”, Rybak says to Dagbladet.

There was room for both humor, seriousness, anecdotes and song when Alexander Rybak held his final violin exam at Barratt Due Music institute today, for which he got the grade A.
When Alexander Rybak opened his exam-concert Thursday afternoon the concert hall of Barratt Due was “As full as we are allowed to fill it”, as the spokesperson of the house said in his introduction.
Typical that the things, you struggled with goes like a dream.
The concert opened with challenging and virtuoso music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Franz Schubert, before Rybak came with “lighter” music as ” Clair de Lune” by Claude Debussy. It was nevertheless here the difficulties began for the exam-candidate.
