In 2010, he performed the song on his “Swinging home for Christmas” tour, collaborating with local talents, one of whom was Annsofi. Four months after reaching the Gold final of the MGP (the Norwegian selection for ESC) with Alexander Rybak’s song «I’m With You», Annsofi now releases two new songs: «Don’t Slaughter Me» and «Before I Go». In the latter she debuts as a songwriter.
Tonight Norway will pick who their entrant will be for Eurovision 2013. One of their hopefuls is Annsofi, who will perform a song written by none other than Alexander Rybak. escXtra.com was lucky enough to catch up with both of them.

The height of Annsofi’s career is only just over a week away. At home in Borgenhaugen the time is used well to prepare for the big day.

Annsofi performed at the Norwegian selection for Eurovision 2013, 2nd semi-final with the song composed by Alexander Rybak “I’m With You” (he wrote both music and lyrics). She did great and made it to the final! Congratulations! Here you can watch how it was:)

Alexander Rybak didn’t want to become a MGP composer before he had found an artist who could represent the essence of Norway. Then the girl from Sarpsborg Annsofi Pettersen turned up. Yesterday NRK.no revealed the seven artists who will participate in the MGP semifinal in Florø next Saturday. The 18 year-old Annsofi Pettersen from Sarpsborg is one of them. She enters with the song “I’m With You” which is written by the greatest ESC winner ever : Alexander Rybak. He tells NRK.no that he is looking forward to come back to MGP. During the Melodi Grand Prix finale in Florø Saturday night, Annsofi Pettersen (18) will be on stage with the song “I’m with you.” The song is written by Alexander Rybak (26) and custom made for Annsofi’s voice – and Melodi Grand Prix.
