Alexander Rybak with a brilliant performance at Se&Hør’s 40 years anniversary show in Oslo Spektrum, Norway.
Alexander performed “Fairytale”. He accompanied on violin when Elisabeth Andreassen sang the beautiful song “Danse mot vår” and he did a brilliant violin performance of the super hits “The Final Count Down” by Europe and AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long” together with Elisabeth Andreassen and Atle Pettersen.
After have introduced in Hungary with a performancein the Open Air Theater on the Margaret Island in August 2015, Alexander returned to Budapest and gave a concert together with the finalists and winners of the previous series of the Hungarian Virtuosos Talent Show (in Hungarian: “Virtuózok“) in the Várkert Bazár.

Alexander Rybak performed at the popular Midsummer Festival “Seto Jaanituli” in Estonia.

Alexander Rybak – “Tusen Takk” benefit concert in Boxmeer, the Netherlands.
“Tusen Takk” Benefit for Cystic Fibrosis was organized by Niels Peeters and her family in Boxmeer, the local town in the Netherlands where Niels lives. It was also a celebration of Niels’ 25 anniversary and 10 years since her lounge operation. Alexander, who is a friend of Niels and her family, said yes to perform at the concert already a year before. Alexander was a guest artist in Greta Salome’s great concert in Reykjavik, Iceland, the 18th of March 2017. The concert was held in Harpa Concert Hall. Thursday the 17th the concert was played twice in the Hof Concert Hall in Akureyri. All three concerts were sold out! 🙂
Alexander played the following songs: “Song from a Secret Garden”, “I Came to Love You”, “Roll with the Wind”. Then two duets with Greta Salome: “Violin Fun” and “Four seasons, Summer by Vivaldi”, and Alexander featured with Greta Salome and Stefan Jakobsson in Iceland’s Eurovision song 2012 – “Never Forget”. And as the final number Greta joined Alexander in “Fairytale”.

Alexander had a great concert with Gomel Symphony Orchestra the 2nd of March, and thanks to Galina Sokolova and Juliet Rusak, we can now enjoy videos of his performances and small talks between the songs. 🙂

Orquesta del Centario, the Argentinian band Alexander performed with in Buenos Aires in May 2016, is on a European tour and right now they have several concerts in Norway. Alexander asked if he could perform with them again, and so he did Friday 9th of September in their concert at Cosmopolite Scene in Oslo, Norway. His good friend Karl Espegaard is a member of the band, and he and Alexander played a duet , and Alexander also joined the band in a tango. Alexander Rybak with concert in Soligorsk, Belarus, in celebration of the Day of the City and Miner’s Day 2016.
To congrats the residents of Soligorsk, the winner of Eurovision 2009, especially flown in from Norway, and the group “MILKI”, presented good live music and a good mood to the audience at the Soligorsk Square.

Friday 29th of April Alexander Rybak had his first concert in Latin-America. The concert was at Teatro Coliseo in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Alexander was invited to perform at Tonicaorkestern’s (Tonica Orchestra) 60s anniversary celebration concert.
One of the many highlights of the amazing concert was the duet between Alexander and the conductor Bo-Göte Nygren playing “Czardas” of Vittorio Monti and “Viva la Vida“. Thanks to Anastasia Silakova for these great videos 🙂

The weekend 12-14th of February Alexander had an orchestra seminar with more than 90 young musicians, mainly violinists, from the municipalities of Herøy, Ulsteinvik, Hareid, Sande, Ørsta, Volda, Stryn, Ålesund, Tresfjord og Valldal in addition to culture students from the Herøy Culture School. The orchestra seminar and concert at Fosnavåg Concert House was organised by the local orchestra Havella.
It was a great experience for the young students and thanks to Robert Skeide and Kristian Ødegaard Skeide we can provide you pictures and videos from the seminar and the concert. The intro on the videos has English subtitles 🙂

Engebret Soot was a big admirer of the famous Norwegian violinist Ole Bull. In the theatre play “Soot-Spelet” there is a scene where Engebret Soot travels to Oslo for one of his concerts. He was delayed and the concert was over when he arrived. Engebret Soot was not a man who gave in easily, so he went to the hotel where Ole Bull stayed, woke him up and demanded him to play for him.

April 10, Alexander performed at “Eurovision Preparty Riga” in Palladium concert hall in Riga. “Eurovision Preparty Riga” is an annual Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) promotional event held in Riga, Latvian capital, usually 6 weeks before the ESC final. The main idea of the event is to promote songs that will take part in ESC of that year. In addition to Alexander, other special guests attended the party – the winner of ESC 2011 Eldar Gasimov, winner of ESC 2002 Marie N, and 3rd place holder of ESC 2013 Zlata Ognevich.
