Milki got 4 th place in Eurofest in Belarus. They came 2nd in televoting though. We´re sorry they did not make it to Vienna. We think Eurovision 2015 lost an attraction. We surely liked the idea behind the song. If Belarus don´t change their minds this year it will be the winner Uzari & Maimuna — “Time” that represents them.
Tomorrow, Friday 26th, is the final in Eurofest 2015, the national selection of Belarus’ song for Eurovision 2015. MILKI and “Accent” has got a lot of attention and seems to have good chances to win and get the ticket to Vienna.
Support MILKI by following them on Facebook, Instagram and vKontake, and watch the music video and Eurofest post cards on Youtube. You’ll find all the info here. There you also will find interviews and articles.
Alexander and MILKI preparing for Eurofest 2014 in Belarus, a lovely postcard video. Watch the girls get their fortune read. Will they make it to Vienna and Eurovison 2015? The video has subtitles in English.
“I’ll be home for Christmas, if only in my dreams”
Life can be busy. We often become so caught up in our work and studies that we’re constantly on the go. Now is the season to take a deep breath, step back, and value what’s most important in life: spending time with the ones we love. Continue reading 22. December: Heading home for Christmas→
It is very important to stay true to yearly traditions every Christmas. This includes listening to Christmas music, eating traditional holiday dishes, and spending time with our families. Alexander has performed this beautiful hymn every year ever since his Christmas tour in 2010, and so it has now become a valued tradition to listen to him perform this each year at his concerts.

“Classical music isn’t that many steps from Rock’n Roll”
Winters can be harsh, icy and cold (especially in Norway!), but it’s your loved ones who can bring back the warmth into the season.
What better way then to express the essence of winter’s soul than through music? Alexander does just this in the following video, where he performs Vivaldi – “Winter”, from his 2010 tour “Swinging Home for Christmas”. Continue reading 18. December : A Classic Winter→
“Never stop dreaming of big things. Never forget to enjoy small things.”

“I denne søte juletid” is a traditional tune with lyrics by Hans Adolph Brorson (1694-1764). The title means “In this sweet Christmas-time” Alexander presented this piece on the 2011 Christmas tour “Vinter bilder”
Now, we are a few days into December. One thing I absolutely love about the winter is the snow! You can go skiing, ice-skating, have snowball fights, building snow-forts, snow-angels and build castles made of snow. Then go inside and drink something warm. I hope you’re enjoying the calendar and the winter so far. Continue reading 11. December — All made out of snow…→
Christmas is mostly a time for joy, but it can also bring back feelings of sadness. Perhaps you miss a somebody, or just feel lonely. In 2012 Alexander made a album called “Christmas Tales” with many American Christmas songs and a few of his own as well. The really cosy album helps me a lot to get into Christmas mode. And it also makes me dream a bit. What do I want to do next year? Even if the stuff is impossible it’s always nice to dream! Continue reading 8. December — Dare to dream→
2011 was the year that Alexander held his festive Christmas tour called “Vinterbilder” (Winter pictures). The medley shown here is from his concert in Bragernes Church, Drammen, on December 3rd. “In expressing authenticity, Alexander Rybak was an important partner. He is a classically trained violinist of high calibre. This he demonstrated by his performance of his own composition, “Julevariasjoner” (Christmas variations) built over the song “Vi tenner våre lykter” (We light our lanterns), from the TV series “Jul I Skomakergata” (Christmas in Shoemaker street). Here he shows his virtuosity to the fullest. With a wide use of double grips, and other technical finesses, he carries the simple melody into several classical stylistic expressions.” From review of the Christmas concert in Fredrikstad Blad 10.12.2012Continue reading 6. December — Virtuoso Variations — Alexander Rybak→
“In addition to his special talent and his musicality, I like that Alexander is so sincere and passionate. And that he doesn’t try to be better or different. He is also quite good at recognizing others” Simone Larsen from “Hver gang vi møtes”Continue reading 4. December — A special gift→
