  9. Question from Romania:
What performance do you prefer: singing in private wedding or having a concert in the open air ?

  10. Hi, Alex!
Sadly, I haven’t been to any of your concerts you had in 2009, but I know you took a lot of girls on stage, gave them flowers and teddy bears -- that was extremely nice of you!
I would like to know if you remember any names of those girls? Where some of them special in any way that made you remeber them? Or were they just ordinary fans and you don’t remeber any faces, names, countries at all?

    Keep being creative, you’re awesome!
(I won’t tell you where I’m from to not give you any suggestions about the possible answer 😉 )

  11. Hei Alex,

    Do you know Dimmu Borgir?

You know, dentistry is growing WHY DON’T YOU PUT A BRACE SOMEDAY??
This is not a shame, now you can wear transparent brace and have a nicer smile 😀

  13. Hi, your concerts very impressive, beautiful song, great talent, I admire how you play the violin 🙂 What do you think about Lithuania as a country and its people?

  14. Portugal

In 2009 ESC I had 14 years old and I put in my head that Portugal would win, (because it was the first time that I seen that my country had a song with a very big potencial to win) and when Norway won I stayed so angry that I put in my head that norwegian song was horrible and for years I never listened songs from Alex. Then, in 2012 when I was ending my 10th scholar year, one of my friends, asked me if I knew the song fairytale and I, oh yes I know, but I don’t listen to it for years, tonight I will listen the song, I listened to Fairytale, and then Europe’s Skies and Roll with the Wind, and I fell in love with all the songs and that was the time that I started to be a Rybak fan…

My question is: “Is it very difficult to learn playing violin?”

    Kiss* 🙂

  15. Hania

Hi Alex! hi Alex! you are my favorite singer and violinist. Your songs meant that I started to enjoy. Recently even my friend noticed it, she said, what happens? you smile!
You inspire me, I began to create my own songs (I have thirteen years). Now I’m doing something, what once I didn’t like to do: I sing. I would like to meet you sometime 🙂
    Now my questions:
1 I want to learn to play the violin, how many years it may take?
2 When you visit Poland? 🙂

  16. POLAND

Is there any possibility that you will visit our country in next two years? I look forward to see you here because fly tickets to Norway are quite expensive 😉

  17. Poland

QUESTION: Where the hell do you keep all the gifts from fans? It’s not possible to keep them in house, so….?

  18. Poland

Hi, Alex! I’ve got 2 questions for you 🙂

    1. Which one of your HGVM covers was your favourite one (I mean the ones you performed, not those made by others)? I can’t decide, they’re all so great!

    2. If any writer would like to write a novel based on your life, maybe just changing some parts, would you like such idea?

    Kisses from Poland!

  19. Hi Alex! I from Hungary!
I very like you and your music! You are very talented! When i heard your music first , i was search this on the net. It happend 2 years ago.
My favourites are the Fairytale, Europe’s skies, Roll with the wind… but the best is the Europe’s skies.

    I have 2 questions:
Do you plan to come to Hungary somewhen?
If yes, when are you come?

You have very lot of fan in Hungary and we very very like you! 🙂

  20. U.S.A.

I would first like to preface this question by saying how much I appreciate Alexander’s involvement in spreading music appreciation. Anyone can see just how much his dedication has changed music not only his community, but also (and especially) for our younger generations.

Alex, would you be willing to perform with an International Youth Orchestra, either in Norway or abroad? If so, how can this be organized.

Thank you for your time and inspiration to so many. I hope you see this question.

  21. Yağmur

Hey,Alexander 🙂 It’s very nice of you to answer our questions.I’d be glad if you can answer mine too. Oh to be honest there’re too much to ask but I don’t want to take all your time.So here are a few of my questions..

I’m also into writing songs as you. It’s more like a hobby for me. I would like to know your writing process of your songs. What inspires you most to write and share with millions? Because whatever you do is just works. I couldn’t imagine a world without your loveable songs and your peaceful sound 🙂

Another question:If you were able to go back to the past,is there something you want to chance or live again?

And here’s the last question..What do you think about Lady Gaga? You don’t have a word about her so I’m very curious 🙂

Well, you’re in my life since 2009,the couple days after ESC.You can’t even know what you meant for me.I am very grateful to know you.We met in Alanya in April which is also my sweet 16 b-day and the day I started believing miracles. It’s all I want to say.

Btw we’re waiting for you, fiddler.Come here as long as possible! 🙂

    kisses <3

  22. Andrea,

    Dear Alex,
    I have 3 questions:

Do you have any plans to visit Hungary?
Do you know violinist Zoltán Mága?
Have you ever played Schindler’s List?

About two years ago I heard Fairytale in Hungarian on TV, and I was curious about the original version. So I searched for that on YouTube. Needless to say, that was much better of course 🙂 I think you’re a talented, many-sided and funny guy. Stay as humble and kind-hearted as you are.
    Many thanks for your answers.

PS: Norwegian language is very cool 🙂

  23. Ana -- Poland
I know you used to be a personal trainer, so… any tips for a girl who wants her belly to look smashing hot for summer? 😉

  24. Jenica
1.How long do you need to write a song?

    2. Please you coming times to Germany :)?

  25. Bethany

Hey Alex! I have been listening to your music from the very start. I actually heard about you from a friend, ironically named Alex as well! He showed me your Fairytale song from Eurovision, which I was very impressed with. After that the rest was history:) My family has a Slavic background…. namely from Minsk, Belarus. So it was really neat to find that your from there:)
You have really inspired my sister and I to write our own songs, and challanged us to find our own unique musical style. I know that you have also really encouraged me in my musical pursuits, and career as a piano teacher. So my questions for you are:

    1. Do you have any personal tips on how to write a good song?

    2. What are the top 5 things that have inspired you the most to write your music?

    3. What’s your favorite classical piece to play on the violin?

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this. And thank you for being a good role model, and reminding us all to dare to dream!

    Your friend,

  26. Niels

    The Netherlands 🙂

Want you make a duet with Lindsey Stirling?

I dont know how i must ask it to you and i dont know or i it can….
But I do it, What do you feel when you play Ketil Moe in the Musical Some Sunny Night?

And my last Qwestion last but not least, is your monkey a boy or a girl and was is the name of you monkey? ( Muco-Monkey)

I must ask of my family or you want come to The Nethterlands for a concert also with Didrik?
My family want to meeting you.

My favorite moment was time my first time in Norway -- Tønsberg with you and Didrik and ofcourse the monkeys, I never forget that more! Thank you for all

I wish you all the best and I see you 🙂

  27. The Netherlands

Hello im eveline from holland :p
I listened Fairytale at eurovision when i was 17 in 2009,
and then i started listening to your music ever since 😀
I know that now you are focussing on Norway,
but will you come here again soon for a concert?

My second question is what is ur favourite song?

    Bye and much love

  28. I first discovered your wonderful self when I was 13, going through a very tough emotional time…you and your music really helped to lift me out of that, something I am very grateful for. If you had a penny for every time you’ve made me smile, you would be a very, very rich man:’)

In 2013 I was lucky enough to meet you in London:) You were so lovely, and really inspired me to keep playing violin with a passion-it really took me back to sitting on my bedroom floor and carefully learning to play every single one of your songs by ear until they were perfect:’)

So, my question is, do you wish to venture further into British culture? As you are such an amazing musician, I am sure the world-renowned English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS) would be delighted to collaborate with you on a folk fiddle project. They hold the greatest achive of traditional tunes in the country-does a little exploring of our fascinating musical roots not intrigue you?;)

Hope you continue to create wonderful music many years into the future:)

    Olivia Rose (Livi) Kersey

  29. Ellen

    The Netherlands

What song, not performed by you (yet), do you think is SO good (technically, melodious, etc.) that you wish you had written & composed it yourself?

Normally I watch the ESC final, but (not very impressed of the Contest in the past years) in 2009 I saw only the very end of it. Alex had won. I liked it. Mom said the next day “Doesn’t he have a special voice?”. Yes he does! We went on vacation and I kinda didn’t think about it anymore. But back home, after 5 weeks camping, I saw that one video on YT that completely knocked me off my feet: Alex at “our” Paul de Leeuw’s show playing Losing My Mind… The best improvisation ever!! <3 And the Fairytale magic started. 🙂

  30. England.

When will you be coming over to the UK again? 🙂 Sadly missed the last time you came over!

  31. Do you have any desire to do any more acting in the future? You have so much expression in your face, I think you could. I am a big believer in chasing ones dreams and you love to see you in a Vampire role!
I first discovered you after MGP 2009, due to Eurovision. Love your work, that’s why I stay .See you again soon. Klem

  32. Are you going to US this summer? And if you do, wanna hang out in Disneyland or NYC, since I’ll be there as well? 😛
Hugs, hope your Lego projects are going well^^
    Martyna, Poland

  33. I have a 5-year old girl who wanted to know if you, with all the Legos you’ve built, have ever been to Legoland?
And if you haven’t been there, she wanted to invite you to go with her one day to see all the Legos they’ve got 🙂

  34. Kasia,

  35. Hoang Nhu

  36. Joann H.

Hi! My name is Joann and I’m from USA. I’ve been listening to your music for two years now and I love what you do! I found a video of your Eurovision winning song on YouTube and the more I listened to you that day, the more I fell in love with you. 🙂

I have a few questions for you.

What are the things you’ve done that you wish you’ve could done it differently?

If you’re not living in Norway, where else would you like to live?

    (Last one.)
What inspired you the most to become a musician and a composer?

Thanks for reading this! Have a good day! 😉

How I found you: I was fed up with our song contests, so I didn’t care about Eurovision. Later I heard Fairytale on the radio (had no idea it was a Eurovision song) and searched for other songs of yours on YouTube. But it was only a few moths later that I really started to listen to your music. I don’t remember why. But I heard one of your songs and I fell in love, I don’t know why, I don’t know how, I just did. And I’ve been an active Facebookie ever since.

  39. Miška F.

Hi Alex, I wonder, is there any chance of you giving a concert here in Slovakia or somewhere near (I mean very, very near)?

I know a lot about you because my sister is a big fan of yours. That’s how I found you. She started to listen to your music and I like your songs too 🙂 I play the guitar and I try to play some songs of yours as well (because I like them so much), and one of my dreams is to meet you and play the guitar while you’ll play the violin.

  40. Venezuela

    Hello Alexander!

Maybe you don’t know anything about this little country in South America, anyway I want to thank you because while everything is a chaos here I can dream and be happy just listening to your music. I dream with finding a place where I can feel comfortable, a place that I can call home. For that reason “Europe’s Skies” is a very special song for me, because somehow it says what I feel.

I don’t want to make you waste your time so here is my question:

Have you ever found a place where you feel comfortable, a place where you finally feel like you fit in, a place you do not want to leave because you’ve finally found the place where you belong?

P.S: If you have found this place, please don’t let it go. Hope find a place like that someday. Finally, sorry for my English, I still learning it 🙂
