We meet the good friends at the music school Barratt Due, where they both have been students previously. Mehus participates for the first time in the Melodi Grand Prix on Saturday with the song “Feel” which she has written together with her husband Bjørnar Hopland and Anthony Modebe. As 2018’s “Stille Natt Hellige Natt” tour came to it’s final concert in Fagerborg Church, Petra Maczewski from Varel in the northwest of Germany was present at her very first experience of seeing Alexander perform live. Here’s her story…
It’s almost already one week now since I’ve returned from Oslo and still it all seems like a dream. It had all been planned for so long, I had already booked the flights in June and on the same day bought tickets for “Stille Natt, Hellige Natt”. It would be the first time I would see Alexander Rybak live and when my husband said he could imagine spending Christmas in Oslo and going to the concert, I was beyond excited! Alexander Rybak in the Russian TV-show “Привет, Андрей!” – Hello Andrei!
The show presented Russia’s candidate in Eurovision 2019, Sergey Lazarev, who also represented Russia in 2016 with the song “You are The Only One”. Several former Russian ESC-artists were present.

10 years since we heard “Fairytale” for the first time.
Today it’s 10 years since Alexander Rybak performed “Fairytale” in Melodi Grand Prix. The place was Grenlandshallen in Skien, where Alexander was the last artist in the third semi-finals in MGP 2009.
