Christmas Stars are shining.
With the voice of Anne Vada in the lead, the trio took Steinkjer Church by storm yesterday afternoon
Dennis Storhøi read aloud with delicacy and tact. By his side, were Alexander Rybak and Anne Vada, who each in their own way, brings world class to the table.
Probably, it felt extra special to Anne Vada, who is from Steinkjer. She spoke warmly about winter memories from Reina.
The concert, stories, and music is not only about Christmas and holidays, but also winter everydays. One by one they went on stage and shared their winter pictures.
Vada and Storhøi’s descriptions of snow, kick sledges and fairytale winter- landscapes, were easy to interprete. Alexander Rybak let the music speak for itself, and shared a christmas song that he and his father used to play together.
On the team, the trio also had Øystein Lund Olafsen on keyboard and Kjell Harald Litangen on guitar. All five who performed, held an amazingly high level. There was also a good share of singalong in the Steinkjer church, and the audience was very willing to contribute.
– “You are the best audience we’ve experienced, guaranteed”, Alexander Rybak said from the stage.
Anne Vada captivated the audience with her performance of “Mitt hjerte alltid vanker.”
– “Although this is not actually a Christmas song, it is often associated with Christmas, and it is one of my favorites”, Anne Vada said before she performed the song.
The Christmas-show started December 2nd in Lommedalen Church, and doesn’t end until December 22nd in Ringsaker. Alltogether the trio will give 14 concerts, and yesterday’s appearance in Steinkjer is the only one in Trøndelag
