Alexander Rybak and Paula Seling promise to make an incendiary show
The last day of Craiova’s Celebration will bring on the stage, after 20.30, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Oltenia, the Academic Choral, Paula Seling, and Alexander Rybak.
The Norwegian Alexander Rybak, winner of Eurovision 2009, will have a concert on Sunday, 2nd of June, on the stage in Mihai Viteazu Square, on the last day of Craiova’s Celebration. There will be on the stage, starting at 20.30: the Philharmonic Orchestra of Oltenia, the Academic Choral, Paula Seling, and Alexander Rybak. The Philharmonic Orchestra of Oltenia will play some rock songs from Queen, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Deep Purple and Led Zepelin with Paula Seling for an extraordinary concert.
“There will be three different moments, but somehow connected. First, the Philharmonic Orchestra and the Choir will sing an extraordinary symphonic rock concert. Then, Paula Seling will sing both songs from her repertoire and then with the orchestra. In the end, the icing on the cake, Alexander Rybak.”- said Vlad Dragulescu, the manager of the Oltenia Philharmonic.
Alexander Rybak was pleased that he came again to Romania. He likes people here and he hopes to break his record from Saturday night, when he played for 28.000 spectators.
“I’m in Romania for the sixth time and I feel privileged that I’ve been invited by the Hall of Craiova and Local Council of Craiova to sing for this big celebration. I’m happy to sing in small towns, because people are warmer and more hospitable. I’ve found that Romanian girls are very active on the Internet, actually my albums sold a million copies here, in Romania.”- said Alexander Rybak.
The mayor of Craiova, Lia Olguta Vasilescu, declared herself as a fan of Alexander Rybak and Paula Seling and said she is extremely lucky to have them on stage in the last day of the festivities for Craiova’s Celebration.
“I’m your fan, both Alexander Rybak and Paula Seling. Regarding Alexander, I’ve talked to him about coming to Craiova again soon, but as a teacher for our kids who want to learn how to play the violin in his unique style. It’s a project we’ll develop together. I thank Paula Seling a lot too, for coming. It’s an honor to have them as our guests. We hope our audience will react positively and enjoy tonight’s concerts, to gain another point on our road to becoming a European Cultural Capital.” – said Lia Olguta Vasilescu.
