Great concert with Song and Spelkorlaget in Stavanger, Norway 26.1.2019

Alexander Rybak was a guest artist at the concert “Syng med oss”.

Song and Spelkorlaget’s  annual and very popular concert “Syng med oss” (Sing Along) was held in Stavanger Concert Hall in Stavanger, Norway .

Alexander performed both with the choir and had his own section together with his pianist Stefan Zlatanos. According to some of Alexander’s fans who were present, the concert was really great and Alexander was sparkling on stage 🙂

Alexander’s playlist:
Hungarian Suite
Song from a Secret Garden
Into a Fantasy

In addition Alexander featured with the choir on violin in the performances of:

“Månemannen” (Man in the Moon) by VAMP and  “You’re the Voice” by John Farnham
and the last sing along song “We’ll Meet Again”

Thanks to Venche M. for the playlist 🙂

Great concert together with Lisa and Alexander.

For the 31st time, the “Syng med oss” (Sing along) concert was arranged together with the Lions Club Stavanger. Also this time we were, what we call “technically sold out”, which means that there were only a few vacant seats on the upper  “roost” (just a local nickname for the seats on the highest up balcony). More than 1100 tickets sold in Stavanger Concert Hall is impressive.

This time we chose to advertise the artists in advance. The feedback we have received tells this was a success. Lisa Børud and Alexander Rybak did a fantastic performance with dancers from Stavanger Cathedral School. Especially nice that the Spelkorlaget get to practise with the artists the night before, so we were comfortable with the different songs we performed together.

At the concert day the choir was gathered from early morning. Food was served backstage all day. The Lions Club served real good sandwiches along with sodas, coffee, fruits and pizzas before the concert. Nobody went hungry for work.

And what concert it was – the best ever – was one of several good comments.

The purpose of the concert has always been that it should be a happy evening, and at the same time obtaining income for voluntary and humanitarian organisations. This year, it was “Heartbeat for Bolivia” that received a gift check of NOK 100.000,- for its burning commitment to music education for children and young people in Bolivia.

Thanks to everyone who helped make “Syng med oss” 2019 a great experience.
