The pop star is a bachelor and believes that female fans are partly to blame.
On new adventures
This week, Alexander Rybak (28) is ready for a duel with Trine Rein (43) in NRK’s new concept “The Hit”. Love, on the contrary, unfortunately has to wait.
– I can’t have a girlfriend. Or rather, I shouldn’t say that for certain. But becoming my girlfriend means getting a lot of harassment from many other girls, and I would not wish that for anyone, Alexander tells Se & Hør.
Five years have already passed since he took Europe by storm in 2009. At the time he won the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Fairytale”.
He was celebrated as a superstar and experienced high sale figures and enormous demand afterwards.
At the same time he tried living a normal life. He has made two attempts at having serious relationships, but both times the love ended.
The successfull violinist has had a busy autumn.
– I’ve been to movie premieres all around Europe because of the song I made for the new “How to Train Your Dragon” movie. It’s fun to have that on my rèsumè, Alexander says smiling.
Fond of his family
Rybak was born in Belarus and is still extremely popular in his native country.
– This summer I played for 80 million viewers every night on a festival that was aired in all of the Russian speaking countries. And I also got to meet my niece, continues the 28 year old, who is fond of his family.
Inspired by children
Home in Norway, he finds it nice having his parents nearby.
My family lives at Nesodden, so they’re never far away, the charmer smiles, who lives on the other side of the Oslofjord, at the exclusive area Aker Brygge.
Currently, Alexander is working on a musical for children.
– I get very inspired by children and their energy. For the last three years, I’v been working on a musical for children about trolls. It will be released next year, he reveals.
