Make success: Alexander Rybak
Rybak with new overseas success
Alexander Rybak (28) is once again a voice actor in the second film about the Viking boy “Hiccup” in “How To Train Your Dragon 2”. This time, Rybak also has a song in the movie.
While the credits of “How to Train Your Dragon 2” run, you will in Scandinavia, Russia and several other European countries hear Rybak’s latest single “Into a Fantasy”.
He doesn’t think that it will set a new pace in his career, but says it’s fun to show off his new song to fans worldwide.
– It has been a really fun process for me. I had great faith that the song would fit well into this universe, and even though it was only a few months left until the premiere, we made it, he told VG.
When Rybak had recorded the song, he went to the manager of 20th Century Fox Norway, Tore Fredrik Dreyer.

– Tore Fredrik is a positive and optimistic guy, and that’s a rare commodity these days. I asked him if he thought that the song would fit the film, and it he thought so. But we both thought that it was too late.
It turned out that it was not. DreamWorks Animation thought the song was good, and they would find a place for it.
– It’s just lucky that I have good people who believe in me.
These days shooting a music video is on the schedule for the 28-year-old, and he even chose the recording location himself.
– We shoot at Stad on the west coast, with helicopters and the whole package. I like to show off Norway for the fans, because we have fantastic scenery.
The first film about the Viking boy Hiccup came in 2010 and it topped the movie charts and received good reviews. “How to Train Your Dragon 2” premieres at Norwegian cinemas July 4.
