Playing in an orchestra is very much about being an artist, and Alexander Rybak gives some different tips. Afterward, he takes plenty of time to take selfies and sign autographs.

The weekend 12-14th of February Alexander had an orchestra seminar with more than 90 young musicians, mainly violinists, from the municipalities of Herøy, Ulsteinvik, Hareid, Sande, Ørsta, Volda, Stryn, Ålesund, Tresfjord og Valldal in addition to culture students from the Herøy Culture School. The orchestra seminar and concert at Fosnavåg Concert House was organised by the local orchestra Havella.
It was a great experience for the young students and thanks to Robert Skeide and Kristian Ødegaard Skeide we can provide you pictures and videos from the seminar and the concert. The intro on the videos has English subtitles 🙂

It was a special experience to play together with Alexander Rybak during the weekend, first at a concert in Førde on Saturday, then at Trivselshagen on Sunday. Alexander Rybak charmed the audience. “I hope to return,”- he said.

Got to join the band: Alexander Rybak called his performance at Rådhusteatret on Sunday his audition to “join the band”, in other words the marching bands from Nordby, Ski and Drøbak/Frogn. He passed it with flying colours.

Well done from Nordby, Ski and Drøbak/Frogn. The celebrity concert has been a tradition for a long time and the 2013 edition will go down in history as one of the very best. The members of the school marching bands from Nordby, Ski and Drøbak/Frogn can pat themselves on the back after a well-executed event at Rådhusteatret during the weekend. They entertained a sold out venue for two hours with marching band music at the highest level. The celebrity concert 2013 is the result of persistent work by the marching bands.

The guy with the fiddle, Alexander Rybak, had his big breakthrough in 2009 when he won Eurovision Song Contest with the song ”Fairytale”. Recently he had two concerts in Skellefteå backed up by 250 string-students.
