Alexander Rybak: “Participation in Eurovision – it’s like courting a girl: you just need to worry less and then you will be more successful.”
Sunday evening, in the TV3 television project “Battle of Choirs“ the commission seat was occupied by 2009 Eurovision winner Alexander Rybak from Norway, calming the Lithuanians: “Participation in Eurovision – it’s like courting a girl: you need to worry less and then you will be more successful.”
The last time Alexander Rybak visited Lithuania was last year at Easter – that time he participated in the LNK project “Lithuanian Voice”. He returned to Vilnius almost one year later. The musician was happy, because he knows Lithuanian culture better and better. “For me, I am glad to return here – I feel closer to Lithuania.”, – he said.
Speaking about Eurovision, A. Rybak confessed – he still does not know A. Pojavio: he had not seen him, and not heard his song. But, with a smile remembers Donatas Montvydas, who represented Lithuania in the last year: “I really liked that guy with the blindfold on his eyes. He was a great representative. “
A. Rybak tells us that Norway has also already chosen a representative for the contest. The singer believes in his country: “We will be among the top five, you’ll see!”
Speaking about the “Eurovision” contest, A. Rybak compares it to attempting to get the attention of the girls you like. “Participation in Eurovision – It’s like courting a girl: you need to worry less and then you will be more successful. You will never conquer any heart if you demonstrate your attention too strongly and try very hard. You like it then, when you are given less attention.” – said the singer.
Although many say that Lithuanians take the Eurovision contest too seriously, A. Rybak does not agree with that. “Everything you’re doing is correct – in this, you look cheerful, and it must be so”, – said the guy.
