Alexander Rybak’s children’s book “Trolle and the magic fiddle”

September 19. 2015 Alexander released his debut book as Author;  “Trolle and the magic fiddle”. It is a semi-autobiographical children’s book about a lonely and outcast troll with a musical instrument that has the ability to completely bewitch his audience – and that becomes a curse for the owner.

Trolle is not like everyone else. He namely lacks a tail, and this is something the other trolls never lets him forget. They tease and bother him all day long.

One day Trolle finds a magical violin that can change it all. But the fiddle not only brings the good things, and soon Trolle finds himself in big trouble. That’s when the human child Alva appears showing Trolle the power of true friendship.

Trolle and the magic fiddle is a fairytale about daring to be different, and to accept the difference what is difference with others. It is a story about a friendship that overcomes everything – even the forest darkest magic!

“Trolle and the magic fiddle” unites Alexander Rybak’s musicality with his penchant for the Norwegian fairy tale tradition. The book contains a CD with the whole narrated by Dennis Storhøi , with Anders Baasmo Christiansen as the mayor , Stig Werner Moe as the Hulder King, Pernille Hogstad Stene as Alva og Alexander Rybak as Trolle.
